In this video we take a closer look at a Browning BPS Tactical shotgun with a factory seven shot tube. This particular model was offered as a distributor special back around 2007 from what we’ve gathered, the company only producing a few thousand at best. The BPS is based off of the Ithaca Model 37 and has probably the smoothest action on the market and is a robust and simple design. Stay tuned, much more on the way.

  1. I have mine in 10ga. it started out as a regular Browning BPS 10ga. I cut the barrel at the rib with the scroll pin, making it 21.5″ I also have a rifle sighted smooth bore in the same length. Briley MFG made the magazine extension. It’s mostly for grins and giggles, most shoot the 2.25 ounce turkey loads once than hand it make. I also load 12 and 15 pellets of Hornady’s 000B, which measures in at 0.35″ weighing around 63-64 gr. 12 pellet loads weight 1.75 ounce and handle well. 15 pellet loads weight 2.2 ounces and kick like a mule.

  2. I find it funny how you guys talk about ammo expense. A box of 25 buckshot in Britain right now is a about $23. I`m beginning to believe the British government are trying to make it too expensive to shoot.

  3. Briley makes an aftermarket tube, its pricey but it increases capacity to about 9 rounds, comes in whatever color you want and it works on the new A5 as well. Briley also makes choke tubes for a variety of guns.

  4. I’ve got a 20 gauge BPS Upland model my dad gave me for my 16th birthday, fantastic gun. 17 years later, and the gun hasn’t so much as hiccuped on me.

  5. I have a BPS and believe it’s superior to my old 870.
The BPS has all the best features of other pump shotguns.
Thumb safety like a Mossberg, double action bars like an 870, bottom ejection like an ithaca, and receiver profile like the Model 12 Winchester.
The BPS is the most “underrated pump shotgun” ever made and built like a tank.

  6. Chad, Did you freek out when Eric started banging your shotgun on the table? You guys are awesome. Great work.
