Condor Tool & Knife Atrox: As Beastly As It Looks and It Reminds Me of the ESEE Junglas

It had me from hello…when I saw it at Shot Show 2018 at the Condor Tool and Knife booth. The Atrox is eye-catching and after putting it to use for a while, I can tell you it’s functional as well. This thing reminds me of the ESEE Junglas in how it handles for a large blade. It’s 1075 HC Steel and has a more aggressive look than the Junglas but it did some serious work – check it out!

  1. I’ve been dying for you to finally review this. This honestly might be my next knife purchase as I know I can fix the sheath issue easily. Kind of wish it was a different steel but I’ve not seen any bad reviews of 1075 yet.

  2. Aw too late! lol Send me some fire starter gear. Also! That Condor is a better chopper than shown. Well with a little better points of impact so I would not shy away from it. And the TOPS being thick and heavy? I prefer thick and heavy. Never let that bother me. Good fast review! Thanks!

  3. I’ve been waiting for the review ever sinse the unboxing vid..looks like a beast! That small choil shaped cutout by the handle looks like your firesteel groove to me. Not sure how good that is to have on the sharp side of the blade, but it looks like that is what it’s for. About the right size for one, and it sure as hell isn’t a finger choil.

  4. I have a few condor blades and my only problem is the blades chipped easily on mine just from hitting a knot in a tree. Might have been a bad heat treatment but either way condor replaced them so that was nice
