  1. My only concern about the knife is, the grind. I’ve seen msk-1 knives with a saber grind (witch I prefer) and some with a hollow grind. So if I buy the knife, I don’t know what I’m going to get.

  2. A one tool option (AKA: a “survival knife”) has to be single handedly the hardest thing to design because it can’t just look pretty, it also has to perform, and be made of high quality materials such as the steel. I agree, D2 isn’t my first pick, but it’s a logical one. It has the capability to be struck with a piece of flint, it holds a good edge, and is rust resistant. I don’t own this knife but I might buy one or strike a deal with another reviewer so I can review it. Either way, I think this thing is getting a lot more hate than it deserves.
Btw, I’m a knife designer and I would hate it if people treated my knife the same way everyone is treating Davids without even holding and using it first.
Thank you for the review Chris.
    Atb, Jep.

  3. Scar blades Papa Bear cost about the same and no one has a problem with it. Just like people loved cpm s35vn till cold steel started using it, now apparently it’s a trash steel.

Most hate what they can’t afford

  4. There is no, “all-in-one” knife–nor should there be! Can you imagine how much life would suck if only needed one knife? One rifle? Madness!

  5. D2 is a very good steel to work with it’s used a lot in tooling industry it’s a good looking knife that’s all I have to say

  6. I’d like to see how it stacks up against my William Collins WCSK. I think the design purpose is pretty similar.
