The TOPS Tac-Raze is a very cool friction folder from a company I am honored to work with. The major win of this one – it’s a cool – just so cool. It does remind many people of an old-school barber shop razor, but as you’ll see in this video it is totally usable as an EDC (everyday carry) knife – check it out!

  1. I agree it’s reminiscent of a straight razor — but for EDC etc I think
it’s just weird. I don’t care for that long extended “flipper” at all —
not for $130, not for $105 and probably not even for $10. I have a few TOPS
knives and think well of them but not here in my opinion.

  2. You had no issues carrying the knife but you’re in shape. Some of your
viewers with stomach hangover may have trouble belt carrying and doesn’t
    look practical for pocket carry.

  3. I looked at the miniature and thought “What a great idea, what a great
knife!” and then I realised: 1- it’s a friction folder with a tail sticking
out of it, 2- it’s not ACTUALLY a razor.
If somebody made a REAL razor that would look modern, sexy and tactical-
and preferably would be automatic- now THAT would be seriously cool!

  4. no batoning? ha! there is no lock to break or fail – as a tool i’d trust
friction folders more than most locking folders.
